On our plans you’ll receive data at speeds of up to 150Mbps, which is great for day-to-day usage of your mobile devices including standard definition video streaming, listening to music, video calling, web browsing, social media, email and messaging. This is maximum potential network speed and actual speeds will vary and may be slower.
Yes. All Lebara plans can be used with an eSIM, if your device is eSIM compatible.
Here are the steps to activate your eSIM.
Step 1
Purchase a Lebara Plan online and select eSIM in the checkout. Check that your device is eSIM compatible.

Activate your plan through our online activation journey.
Step 3
Scan the QR code in the first email we sent you.
Step 4
Enter the 4-digit confirmation code in the second email we sent you.
Step 5
Your new Lebara plan is ready to use on your device with your eSIM.

Yes. You can bring your current number across to Lebara when you activate your new plan.
With Auto Recharge, when your current plan expires, your prepaid service will be automatically recharged with the same plan as your most recent recharge. Auto Recharge is available on our 28 day SIM Plans, 365 day SIM Plans and Data Only Plans.
Auto Recharge will be turned on by default if you have provided your payment card details to pre-authorise your purchase or if you have stored your payment details and you did not opt-out. You can opt-out at any time via your My Lebara account.
Long Expiry Prepaid Plans
You must activate your Lebara SIM by the specified offer activation date to benefit from advertised offers. In any event, the Lebara SIM must be activated within 365 days of purchase. More information about the underlying plans on which the offers are based can be found in the individual plans’ Critical Information Summary (CIS). Once you activate your Lebara SIM, you accept the Lebara Standard Form of Agreement The Lebara Standard Form of Agreement and Critical Information Summaries are available on our terms page. All offers are subject to change. Recharge costs after the offer period are as set out in the plan CIS. Not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Not for commercial or resale purposes. Data for use in Australia. You can have up to a total of 4 active Lebara mobile services under your name.
To use the Prepaid Plans service, you must first purchase a Lebara SIM Card or have an eSIM capable device. You bring your own mobile, tablet or laptop.
365 Day plans
For $200, $250, $300 SIM Plans (365 day expiry), data and other inclusions are split evenly into eleven 30 day blocks and one final 35 day block. All unused inclusions expire at the end of each 30 / 35 day block or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first, and do not roll over to the next block, except for banked plan data. See below for details on Data Bank. All offer end dates and recharge times are in Australian Eastern Standard or Daylight time (AEST/AEDT) in Sydney, Australia. Lebara reserves the right to extend any offer.
Discount Offers
Discount available to new customers that purchase the $250 SIM Plan online between 15th April 2026 and 12th May 2026 (unless extended) (‘promotional period’). Offer only available online with credit/debit card and PayPal payments. Subsequent recharges will be at the standard price. Offer for personal use only. Not for commercial or resale purposes. Limit of 4 Starter Packs per person. Offer not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Auto Recharge
Auto Recharge will be switched on automatically if you have added your payment card to pre‑authorise a purchase, or if your payment details are saved and you did not opt out of Auto Recharge manually. You can turn Auto Recharge off at any time by logging into your My Lebara account.
Plan Stacking
Long term plans can be stacked with other plans under certain conditions. You can add a 365 day plan on top of your current 28 day plan, or on top of another 365 day plan, and it will get activated automatically once your existing plan ends. You can stack up to 24 months of plans.
Data Bank
All plans except Standard Plan/PAYG include Data Bank. You can save up to 500GB of unused included data or bonus data from each 30/35 day block of a 365 day plan to use in the next 30/35 day block during the term of the 365 day plan and when you recharge with another eligible plan before your expiry date. If you recharge on another eligible Data Bank plan within 48 hours after plan expiry (grace period), you will be able to retain your Data Bank balance. After 48 hours, any unused data from your Data Bank will be lost. Data Bank data cannot be used during this grace period.
Your Data Bank becomes active only once data has been saved into it. Data Add-ons cannot be saved. Any data above the 500GB limit will expire on your next recharge or expiry date, whichever occurs first.
If you use all your included, bonus and banked data before your plan expires, your data access will stop unless you have Main Balance credit (charged at $0.03/MB), or you recharge with a Data Add-on or an eligible plan that includes data.
Data Gifting
All plans except Standard Plan/ PAYG are eligible for Data Gifting. You may gift up to a total 10GB of data per 30/35 day block from your Data Bank to any other Australian Lebara customers who are on a Data Bank plan with an activated Data Bank. A cap of 5 transfers per 30/35 days, with a minimum of 50MB and a maximum of 2GB per transaction. Included and bonus data cannot be gifted until it has been saved into your Data Bank at the end of the 30 or 35 day period. Data from Data Add-ons cannot be gifted (only data from your Data Bank is eligible for gifting).
International calls and text to Zone 1 destinations
Excludes premium services and network based video calls. Personal use only. Fair use policy applies.
When you are in Australia the following services are unlimited and included:
- Calls to standard national mobiles and fixed lines;
- Calls to 13, 1300 and 18 numbers;
- Calls to voicemail; and
- Standard national SMS and MMS.
All other services are excluded, including but not limited to:
- Calls made, SMS sent, and Data used when you are roaming onto an Australian network other than the Vodafone Mobile Network;
- Premium rate numbers;
- Any other special numbers as determined by Lebara which may be disclosed on the Website from time to time;
- Voice call diverts;
- Any voice call, SMS or MMS which is rerouted by a third party and/or re-routed to an international destination or to a premium number or service, any form of video calls;
- Use of the Vodafone Network that is for a non-personal or commercial purpose or for resale by you;
- And calls and SMS to the Pivotel Network.
Unlimited International Standard Calls and Text to International
Where included in your plan, includes standard voice calls from Australia to standard mobile and fixed line numbers in the selected list of destinations, and standard text from Australia to selected listed destinations. See plan CIS for availability and list of destinations. Destinations and inclusions may change from time to time in accordance with the Lebara Standard Form of Agreement. Excludes all other services including premium services, special and overseas free phone numbers and video calls and may exclude calls to services on some networks. Excludes text to services on some networks. Calls charged in per minute increments. Not available on Standard/PAYG plans. Fair Use Policy applies.
Bonus international minutes to selected destinations in Zone 1
Where included in your plan, includes standard voice call minutes from Australia to standard mobile and fixed line numbers in the selected list of destinations, and standard text from Australia to selected listed destinations. Excludes all other services including premium services, special and overseas free phone numbers and video calls and may exclude calls to services on some networks. Activate or recharge by 03/08/2026 (unless extended). Calls charged in per minute increments as per the PAYG rates. See plan CIS for availability and list of destinations and inclusions. 5G and speed capping
Lebara uses the Vodafone network. You will access data on our 4G or 5G network. Vodafone’s 5G network is rolling out to selected areas of major Australian cities. You can use your 5G approved device, with an eligible Lebara plan, in a Vodafone 5G Coverage area to access the 5G Network. In non 5G coverage areas, you will automatically switch to Vodafone’s 4G networks. Actual speeds vary due to location & network congestion. To check coverage and for updates when 5G is coming to your area visit our network page. 5G is not offered on Standard/PAYG plan or if the CIS specifies a plan as 4G only. Our Lebara plans are speed capped, which means your network speed for Long expiry plans is capped to a maximum speed of 150Mbps. These speeds are the maximum potential speeds that you may get access to. The actual network speed you experience may be slower and will vary depending on various factors including your device, location, available bandwidth and source of download.
What can I do at 150Mbps?
Data will be capped on our current in-market long expiry plans at speeds of up to 150Mbps. This is typically suitable for day-to-day usage of your mobile devices including standard definition video streaming, listening to music, video calling, web browsing, social media, email and messaging. This is maximum potential network speed and actual speeds will vary and may be slower.
Early Termination charge
You can cancel whenever you want. There is no fee for cancellation. However, if you terminate the plan prior to the plan expiration, the plan price and any remaining credit will not be refunded. This does not limit any consumer protection rights or remedies you may have, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
